      Borrada’s voice rose and fell with the assurance of the old tides. “The Kingdom of the Animal of Man, or Kotaom by its abbreviation, is a place,” he said, opening his arms. “It’s not a new place; it’s here. But it’s not now. It comes after we acknowledge that God is dead. Kotaom is that place where we free ourselves into the greatness of humankind; where we can use the force of our will; where we can live immortal and heal the sick and resurrect the dead.”
      “It doesn’t matter; I can’t go in.”
      “Kotaom’s in your head already. It’s a dream we’ve all had, subconsciously, knowing that something’s not right here where we are.”
